Bromeliads
Bright, sexy and sassy blooms characterize this a fun and showy houseplant. Flowers range from yellow to red, orange and pink. The flirty skirts of the blooms dance above dark green foliage. The wide leaves are sword-shaped or scoop-like and grow around a central “cup.” This cup catches water in the plant's native habitat.
Bromeliad plants are often epiphytic and cling to trees or other structures. They are not parasitic but simply use the structures as perches from which to gather sun and moisture.
Bromeliads grown as houseplants are perfectly happy in a simple pot that lets their colors really stand out.
