Massachusetts' bayberry is a cold-hardy groundcover with beautiful, year-round interest. It has glossy green foliage that is tinged with red in the fall, accented by bright red berries that will persist into winter. Its pinkish-white, bell shaped flowers emerge in late spring and last through mid-summer. It has a low-growing, spreading habit, reaching 12 inches tall and spreading 6-10' wide.
