Planting & Growing:
Summer Sunshine Tickseed will grow to be about 3 to 4 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 3 to 4 feet. It develops a dense, sturdy mound and spreads gradually over time. As an herbaceous perennial, this plant will die back to the crown each winter and regrow from the base each spring. Be careful not to disturb the crown in late winter when it may not be readily seen.

This plant performs best in full sunlight and prefers average to moist, well-drained soil. It is more tolerant of consistently moist conditions than many other Coreopsis varieties and can tolerate wet roots for extended periods once established. It is adaptable to a variety of garden soils and performs well in areas with heat and humidity.

Summer Sunshine Tickseed is an excellent choice for perennial borders, mass plantings, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and naturalized areas. It can also be grown in outdoor pots and containers. Note that plants grown in containers may require more frequent watering than those planted directly in the landscape.
