Apricot Drift Rose
Rosa 'Meimirrote'

Height: 24 inches
Spread: 3 feet
Sunlight: Full sun
Hardiness Zone: 4b

Description:
A compact, spreading groundcover rose producing beautiful apricot-colored double blooms throughout the growing season. Its deep green foliage provides excellent contrast, and the spreading habit makes it ideal for sunny groundcover plantings and foundation beds.

Ornamental Features:
Apricot Drift Rose features showy double peach-colored flowers with golden eyes at the ends of the branches from mid spring to early fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has dark green deciduous foliage, and the oval compound leaves do not develop notable fall color.

Landscape Attributes:
Apricot Drift Rose is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a low, ground-hugging habit of growth. Its average texture blends into the landscape but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser plants for an effective composition.

This shrub requires occasional maintenance and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It is a good choice for attracting bees and has no significant negative characteristics.

Apricot Drift Rose is recommended for the following landscape applications:
- Mass Planting
- Border Edging
- General Garden Use
- Groundcover
- Container Planting

Planting & Growing:
Apricot Drift Rose will grow to be about 24 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 3 feet. It fills out right to the ground and does not necessarily require facer plants in front. It grows at a fast rate and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 30 years.

This rose should only be grown in full sunlight. It performs best in average to evenly moist soil and will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular about soil type or pH and is highly tolerant of urban pollution. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.

Apricot Drift Rose makes a fine choice for the outdoor landscape and is also well suited for use in outdoor pots and containers. Due to its spreading habit, it works especially well as a spiller in the spiller-thriller-filler container combination when planted near the edges. It is also suitable for growing alone in a container. Plants grown in containers may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag and typically require more frequent watering than those grown in the landscape.
